Apparently the bright spots are still visible from acute angles, meaning they must protrude from the ground, since otherwise the crater walls would obscure them. Scientists think they might be water ice volcanoes. ICE VOLCANOES!!!

Sounds like it would be an awesome sight. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to be able to land on Ceres in Elite: Dangerous some day, and see them... Please, Frontier, I beg you!
