Lights

Placing lights is infuriating.

I find it almost impossible to place any light source, especially some of them are downright broken.

14 o clock. The light is clearly on and eminates at least some lightning.

4am...the light got stronger an now illuminates the room

Now try something diffrent:

We have this corner here, a bit to dark for my touch

still dark but it is getting better. maybe i can comprimise, let's check how it looks in the dark:

While it is bright, the light almost looses it's illuminating rapidly after 2m and my customers would sit in the dark.

The only lights that work a little are actual spotlights or the 'Standard lamp', yes have fun building this.

Now look how nice the shadows are drawn of the chairs.

guess what doesn't cast a shadow, correct lights that aren't natural.

It is totally baffeling, that we have a shadow of a coaster move totally realistic over a guests body and then we have the light sources in game. I don't know what happens there, it is crazy to an ammount i can't even describe: we see the shadow getting 'weaker' because of the second light, but dropping the ball on lightsources that hard? It almost feel like two diffrent games.

So dear Devs: Fix those lights!

I give up....why is it so hard to have some consistent lightning for you?

The screen is reflecting and casting on the floor and the ceiling, this is amazing, but we dont have any shadows in the picture.

The surf logo is reflecting on the table, to a degree that you can almost read it.

The same light source reflected through the window. Oh why are there two lights? there are actual two glas panels.I dont get it with the glass windows, you already have the reflectionengine/script but for glass you deceided yeah, let's go for a new one with lower quality?

Again, we now have a toggle, but your light sources are doing a shoddy job, especially since the game can look great:

The reflections in the rain, really look great. What doesn't look great? Shadows, since the aren't any

TF is this? 8 Lights + neon signs + shops it is still dark (btw. you see the moon casting a shadow on the right wall....so why not with normal light sources?

Pressing L makes the things bearable, but this can't be a solution.....

I agree, they need to overhaul the lighting system. Most lights simply glow, hardly illuminating anything. The spotlights are bright, but I want a light that evenly illuminates a room, not a beam that only illuminates the direction it is pointed. I haven't even attempted using outdoor lamps, so I can't comment on that yet.

The only light that casts a shadow is the star (Sun/Moon). The rest of the lights don't cast shadows; I understand this is by design. Given the number of lights a park can have, this is somewhat understandable. Planet Zoo is the same in this regard.
