I think a lightweight SRV for racing on planets would be an awesome addition, without adding extensive gameplay mechanics for it.
Lore-wise, we already have Skimmers that can float around, so that's not really a problem either.
Maybe even theme it to be an Imperial SRV with those nice curves by Gutamaya.
This way you can add something similar to this:
