Like an Orange on a Toothpick ...

... is the size of my head. I wear size 8 hats, so yeah - I'm a bit of an outlier, and yeah, fitting almost anything is bloody hard.

My Oculus gives me a bad case of VR face that my Vive never does (the Vive is SO much more customizable). In fact, I find that i have to lift the Rift off of my face every few minutes to relieve the pressure on my cheek and forehead.

I have loosened the straps as far as they will go - right up to the point where the velcro stops at the entrance to the headset, to no avail.

Is there anything anyone with a similarly massive noggin has tried to make it any more comfortable (besides switch to the Vive whose resolution problems make it unplayable for me (for me at least, given I have a choice of the two))?

Thanks for making me laugh. Unfortunately I have no solution for you, though I hear about headhunter tribes in remote parts of Africa that may be able to shrink heads.

I guess Oculus and HTC designed for the majority of the population. Agree the Vive straps, being a bit simpler are easier to adjust.

With luck FD will fix the problems the Vive has with ED (without having to wait for Vive2) and you'll be able to use the Vive from there on in.

Does the CV1 have a removable foam insert? Can it be ghetto-replaced with something thinner? (result being less HMD-face).
Can a short length of extra velcro be added to lengthen the straps on the CV1?

Good luck.
