Frontier You disgust me. Prior to Christmas, Frontier posted on Facebook a competition To win a copy of Elite:Dangerous. Is this common practice or something, to deceive your fans like this ? To deceive the very people that apparently made this game possible, This is what you so eloquently tell us at every opportunity. but it is not exactly true is it ?

here we have a Facebook post by Frontier offering a gift that they had no intention of following up on by general lack of appearance thereafter.

IF you look down the comments it says 'congratulations XYZ' on the 26th

So maybe it got overlooked - is it really worthy of "disgust" and the suggestion of "no intention of following up.." before you even find out what happened?

The winner was announced on the 26th of December? "Elite: Dangerous Congratulations to Andy Bell who has won a copy of the game - we'll be in touch! Thanks all for entering." Read the timeline! Could there maybe another Andy Bell in the world? sheesh panties in a bunch?

gotta say the only thing I find disgusting here is a member of staff chose to reply to this facebook tearstorm rather than one of the many threads that could actually use some staff interaction. OP i hope they send you a video of them burning a boxed copy.

Hi,

I posted who won further down the comments. Also I contacted everyone who needed to be. If they haven't received anything yet, maybe there's a problem somewhere. I'll make sure I follow it up. Thanks for the nudge. if there's been a mistake it was completely unintentional.

ok the word disgust I used incorrectly. the not following up on, well here is the thing. It was not followed up on. Fact. I chased it up in a way you feel you must criticise. I`ll get over it. so will you. Jobs a good`un !

well said, I deal with people like this allot at work, I think they just have to much time on there hands and search for things to bring them some form of meaning or something.. I also think that when talking to a 'company' people fail to realise that another fellow human will be reading it. I am always impressed by the level of maturity Ed and other FD employees have when responding to such complaints.

have you ever had the feeling that these Share & like To win form of marketing and Public Relations just might be fake ? I wanted to find out so here was my chance. forgive me for my sins. geez. I started out wrong but considering I had the inkling these things were nonsense and I was attempting to find out by using a harsh word. Now if it turned out to be nonsense then I would be rightfully disgusted ? so lets say I was half disgusted or prepared to be disgusted...

Guess what ? I am no longer disgusted. does that quell your insatiable appetite for commenting on others opinions with objection ? it should do. if not there is something abhorrently wrong with you.

Dude, you're in a video game forum on the internet. If you can't hack snarky comments then don't post your stuff written principally in Flamebait. Good first posting garners good response posting; poor posting, and you get sniped. That is the way of things.
