I am sure in 3000+ year people do not know what is the Internet and autopilot. I am a bit curious why there are a pilots, not Navigators who are using spice. Sometimes i think a world of ED is closer to the Dune than to Star Trek or Star Wars.

Another example of broken game mechanics.
Relogging should not be a part of gameplay but only a way of access to the game.

Haha yes, I completely agree with you.
There is also no bank transactions in 3000 either.

Yes. It's 3302 - we should have the means in game to access this kind of data! Just as we should have tools like eddb.io in-game. It's stupid to have players go offline to access databases where we can search for commodities, ship types, materials, etc., when these things should exist in a galaxy where we can jump between stars and go faster than the speed of light!

Everything is welcome to avoid the logging manoeuvre .... Smugglers may use it but we sincere missioners ...? +1

Maybe it is like they haven't any faster than light communication?
Why do we have to 'transport' data in missions? Why can't we send exploration data home? Why there isn't any network like the internet?

I think there doesn't exist any FTL communication system and all has to been brought over pilots.

And how does the 'missions update' work than? The ones saying 'I have a new proposition for you' ... ? Instantly...

The main idea is that first you need increase your reputation with the system faction (This encourages doing missions and gives a sense), as increasing your reputation will be able to search more rare items.

To do the faction will show a list or by a text box let you write the item you need.

The faction will propose the mission that belongs to another allied faction or similar ideology.

It would be something like this:

Captain Palazo-

"Commander Rubellen" We have a contact that has the mission for you.
I think that can help you get what you need and leave the grind.
It is a bit far but it's all we got for now.

The mission is 80ly on Alpha Centauri.

You accept this mission?

Yes / NO

Hello everyone.

A few weeks ago I'm just doing missions to see if I can get the materials I need.

Hopping from one station to station, finding specific that I need for an engineer.

Also, I think it's a good way to eliminate this change all the time between "solo", "private" and "open"

I would like to know.

You would like to find your mission for the material within a INTERSTATION NETWORK ?.
Maybe you should travel light a few years but the mission will be waiting for you, in another system.

How it works?

1) You go to the station.
2) You open the mission board.
3) See the missions of local factions but none has what you need.
4) You select INTERSTATION NETWORK
5) SEARCH BY "FACTION", "MATERIAL", "CARGO".
6) Select Material (Text Box appear write Mercury)
7) Waiting ... we are searching a mission for you ..... 3.2.1 (RNG or Another form)
8) Mission Found Dialog Appear
Station: Hyperborea
Distance: 186 ly
Faction: Hyperborea Bureau
Reward: 1 Mercury
Mission: bla bla bla ..... blblab Data Mission:

You accept this mission? Remember is far from your current location.

YES NO

9) YES !!!!!
Andoval Idea.
1) You go to the station.
2) You open the mission board.
3) See the missions of local factions but none has what you need.
4) You select INTERSTATION NETWORK
5) Search the mission accord the faction you have more reputation.
(+Rep, +lvl of materials, com,dat.)
6) Select Material (Text Box appear write Mercury)
7) Waiting ... we are searching if any have the item to pay you.
8) Item Found Dialog Appear

You accept this mission?

YES NO

9) YES !!!!!

Another idea is you always find the material but the better your reputation with the faction will be easy and close the mission

Enjoy you journey to a new system and station do not know.
Find new factions.
Move the galaxy elite.
Explore and have fun getting what you need.

Gameplay game improves.

And it is!!! I feel good now.

Leave a comment, maybe you can improve that idea.

PD.

Are you not voted for the others ideas? do it.

3 ideas to save engeneers.
The Three Musketeers to save Engineers

Leave a comment in the post of detailed surface scanner to know your opinion and the post will not die, many of us want it a reallity on the game.

Best idea ever OP, i'm all for it.
