It seems to me that it’s likely we may not get any indication of what the “new era” for ED on the 25th. With the silence from the devs it seems like we would be lucky to even get an announcement of an announcement.

Yes. Months back Zac had talked about how the ice planet rework and fleet carriers were delayed but they started full production phase of the “new era”. If I recall correctly.
