Limited Vehicles on track

Hello all!,

So i created a few rides and I have noticed that if i have 10+ cars on the track the stations will not dispatch more than 2-3 if the ride is lucky. Normally i wouldn't complain cause its normal. but having 10 plus cars and only have 2-3 out at once time is a bit harsh.

I adjusted the min and max wait time and haven't been able to adjust so i am hoping someone on here will be able to provide more information on it so i can adjust and be able to properly run the ride.

I would suggest making an station with an exit on one and the entrance on the other side of the platform.

Your problem here is the immense distance exiting peeps need to walk before they are off the platform. Only after they are out of the station, new peeps enter the boat and that boat will take off after that.

And this ride does not need an massive station to support more boats. You can have a short station, and still add more boats then the amount that fits in the station.

I think this video explains it good:

I'd recommend adding more block sections. Space Mountain (I'm talking WDW's version), despite having trains that only carry a max of 6 people, is one of the highest capacity coasters I've seen, at 2000+ Riders per hour. Why? They use block sections almost excessively, and combined with their crazy fast operations, you have a massive capacity. That's not to mention that they unload and load their coasters on different platforms, which makes it easier to get passengers in and out.

His question was about the rapids ride, not sure how you can add block sections to that [wink]
But his biggest problem is the positioning of the exit of his ride.

What's interesting is that block sections are a safety feature based on invariability on the course itself. In something like Planet Coaster you almost don't need any because the coasters always run exactly the same and if it gets shut down, they can all just pile up on the final brake area. The idea that you need to have breaking areas and "holding places" on the track itself isn't needed with a computer simulation.

And you sort of see that with the water rides and the tracked rides. You can send as many as you like out at a time and the only limiting feature is how fast you can get people on and off again at the station. For my Pirate battle ride I'm using the hybrid water/ coaster and if I run it on "regular operations" I can stack it up with boats, but if I run "blocked sections" then I suddenly need to plan out coaster parts to be sure I have the "right" number of coasters out at a time.

It's kind of a fun exercise to set up a coaster so that as soon as a train is full you're sending it out, to be sure that there is no wait to get back into the station and that you always have coasters running. But it's not really ~needed~.
