Limpet AI, Contact List constantly moving and resorting

Currently Limpet AI is pretty bad Especially when it comes to collision detection. This a huge problem mostly for those with small to medium size ships as they cannot afford to waste Limpets. This happens near asteroids with spin while mining in small crevasis, derelict ships and even if your ship is moving at speed.

I have also seen on many occasions mined resources and other material getting stuck inside of asteroids and ships in encoded/degraded emissions signals.

This brings us to the next issue, where mining and constantly adding more contacts to the "Contacts List" will continuously resort between collector limpets and prospector limpets. While I would suggest a strict Alphabetical Sorting; Prospector limpets should stay at the very top of the list. Currently it seems that the contact list atleast in part is sorted by time. That is to say which contact was added to the contacts list first and is not strictly speaking Alphabetical there by grouping identical contact names together.

Lastly revert the canopy integrity change.

The limpet system just needs to be revamped. I have been suggesting over and over that it should be made into a more legitimate Drone Control system. The panel of which would be added to the middle panel, "crotch" panel. It would work similarly to how SLFs work, you would have a series of orders you could issue the Drone, better drone controllers would enable more "Software" cards to be installed and thus more commands available in the Drone Controller Command list. I think the most basic command, Collect, would be the base command on the drone controller itself, so ALL drones can collect as the most basic function. And adding cards would give them the specialized functions like research, repair, fuel transfer etc.

Drones would be reusable, basically just recall them and they dock back in the drone bay and charge back up. They would be targetable, so they would be a valid combat target to players and NPCs, and would be left behind if you wake out without recalling them first.

abandoned drones, either by choosing abandon from the control list or just jumping out, the drones would enter an "Inert" state, just floating there. If there happens to be a player in the instance, he could scoop them up into his drone bay and use them him/herself. (Just like Pokemon, you can't steal someone's owned drones, but if they abandon them, it's fair game.)

I agree with you regarding the Contacts list constantly moving items around as you're trying to find or select something in the list. I suspect QA's testing only includes a couple of items in the list.
