limpet bay manufacturer

With the idea that a fighter bay can construct fighters X times before needing a reload on resources.

It seems to me that mining would be the next logical inclusion of onboard fabrication systems.

A limpet manufacturing bay could conceivable hold up to 10 limpets internally and then be able to manufacturer them as needed until resources were tapped. Considering the size of the limpets it would be my guess that 10 could be relative to the cost of building a single fighter.

So maybe max out at around 120 limpets made before needing to refill? This would also mean needing to fill up less inventory space with limpets.

Maybe also include a means to refill the resources with synthesis?

Let's just assume that a class 1 limpet controller doesn't have any space for spare limpets, as 2 tons of computer hardware is needed to control one limpet in 3302.
A class-2 controller only controls 2 limpets, but is 4 times larger than a class-1 at 8 tons. So maybe 4 tons of high-tech controller and 4 tons of space for spare limpet parts.
A class-3 controller only controls 3 limpets, but is 4 times larger than a class-2 at 32 tons. So maybe 6 tons of high-tech controller and 26 tons of space for spare limpet parts.
A class-4 controller only controls 4 limpets, but is 4 times larger than a class-3 at 128 tons. So maybe 8 tons of high-tech controller and 120 tons of space for spare limpet parts.

But I know the real reason that a class-4 limpet controller weighs 128 tons.

I really like this as an idea
hell, let fighter bays be INSTEAD loaded with 5 limpets/fighter
so a size 7 fighter bay could potentially carry 150 limpets if it was totally converted, or 75 limpets and 15 fighters for defence
etc etc
