Line Flight? An alternative to the current passenger transport missions system

I take inspiration from the last passenger transport mission.

How cool would it be to set up missions to self-generating by making the ship available?

Instead of answering passenger requests, having a new category, and the player directly setting a route between different systems (2 sys minimum), having the passengers enrolled on just organized flights?

Of course, with compensation and randomly generated passengers and fees related to the distance \ state of the system?

As a basic idea of short-haul flights, think of the potential that they might have: for example, an organized flight to take people away from a system of war and transport it to a boom system or other combinations

I like the idea of this, kind of like providing a bus or train service in space by doing a regular route, and maybe you can have several 'stops' or 'stations' rather than just a start 'station' and a 'finish' station like a metro line. Just one question, how would it work if you're not currently running the route? Would the route only exist for a set period of time or would it disappear if you don't run it for a while (say you decided to do some exploration)?

mhh,
I did a couple of mental journeys, the solutions to be proposed could be:
A-Additional mission building panel: 1. set the route - 2.publish the trip table \ price-3. NPCs random start to book the flight-4.10 minutes to book and then departure

B-Set the route as usual
1. Set route on galaxy map 2. Open passenger missions panel 3. Select "line flight" mode and set "choose route from galaxy map" and set the price 4. The game already reads your route, Passengers books and after 10 minutes leave

Then if the player does not run the route, there must be a double penalty of the set ticket cost

Of course the price of the ticket will be compared to the state of the starting systems \ number of systems \ arrival system status \ cabins availability (more cabs you have and more you've diversified them class, the more you make money ... it's logical that if you have all The economy booths all your customers will be "cheap" if instead set luxury cabins, the gain will increase but will also increase the risks of being hijacked by pirates

I think I prefer option A, though both would work. Presumably you would then have the option to cancel the route at any point in the future (not when you've got passengers though, I would imagine) to prevent the penalty for not running the route.

It'd be cool if you could give your line/route a name as well, like Hutton Orbital Cruises or something.
