In local news feeds, they list if there are battles or elections, etc, happening with that faction against another. Sometimes those events are local, but oftem they're in another system. It'd be super convenient if there was a button in there that would open up the system, or if a station is in jeopardy, it'd open the system and focus on the location. In that same blurb, maybe they could also state which stations are offereng massacre missions, so you'd have a better idea where to head to help bring peace to that part of the galaxy.
Also, a long time ago, I made another suggestion but will repeat it. I think we should be able to 'subscibe' to news feeds. Maybe not an infinite amount, but maybe like 5 or 10 maximum. This way, no matter where you are, if you're interested in a particular faction somewhere else, you'd see when they're in conflict or whatever.
