Link two accounts to one?

So i have two account's now but i can not run both in VR as steam will not let me.

Q.1
is there a way to link the two accounts together so i can use them as two different profiles ?
Q.2
many people have more than one account so i would thought frontier would of added it? and if not are they?


have tried to contact support but 4 days and still no reply so thought i would post on here again.

I use ED Account Switcher to switch between accounts.

However, I don't know if it will work with the more recent Steam accounts (from April this year, I think), which can't be used with the Frontier launcher and can only be used with the Steam version of the launcher.

I've used both my accounts with my Rift S. I simply log out of the launcher with one account and log in with the other. Then close the launcher and restart it. (restart may not be necessary, but that's how I've done it.)

You say "can not run both in VR" - how do you try and which response do you get?

For your record:

• I play in VR with an Oculus Rift (CV), through Oculus Home. If I don't do it manually, Oculus Home powers up when I pick up the Rift (but doesn't survive Windows Sleep mode, I usually lose the connection to the cameras)
• I have two accounts, both pre-dating the Steam/FD account split
• I have one launcher copy set up for each of the accounts, using the same game files (and control settings)

If I want to play on one of the accounts, I start the associated launcher, then click on "Play". Everything else happens automatically.

so i worked out that elite changed a few setting which stopped me from playing in VR with both accounts , and if i put two short cuts on the desk top and just run steam vr then i can run both accounts but only one at a time.
thanks the100thmonkey will look at account switcher never new about that.
