Linking two Frontier accounts on the same PS4 to a different user on the same PS4

SCENARIO
Two PS4 users on the same console that both have a Frontier account.

PLAN
Unlink both Frontier accounts from their respective PS4 account with ED not running on both accounts.
Link Frontier account to the other PS4 account.

QUESTION
Will this transfer the entire save state with all assets (ships, unlocked permits/engineers, purchases from Frontier store etc.) you own to the other PS4 account, but using that nickname as commander name?

It could be seen as a commander rename procedure but that's not why I want to do this. I want to transfer it because it's currently not linked to my main PSN account.

How do you unlink and then re-link accounts? Not seen this as an option?

All I would suggest is if you can try it? My guess and gut feeling is it won't work.

@stormyUK
There was/is a unlink option in the frontier web store Via PC not PS4...
https://www.frontierstore.net/frontier_partnerkeys/thirdparty/

Many console people use the site in error as its only for the PC version still but the option is there currently there to unlink...
Its not risk free as many users who suffer from "random left mouse button click" syndrome have found out and had to get support to repair the damage clicking it did with a support ticket...

Like stormy said, I don't think it's a standard mechanism to unlink PS4 and Frontier accounts once they've been linked, at least I don't know of any interface option to do so. Frontier support might able to help you there, if they allow that kind of thing.

Exactly. It would be incredibly misleading if that option would not work for linked PSN accounts. Thx all. I'm going to open a support ticket with Frontier to get this cleared up. I'm not going to try it without knowing for sure weather they'll mess up my save.

Do feed back what you learn please!

I got an answer and unfortunately it wipes the save. I asked them if the user is warned when clicking the button, since I don't see a visible warning that it'll wipe your save. When I get an answer I'll post it here as well.

Hey CMDR,

Thank you for getting back in touch with us and sorry for any confusion regarding this.

Just to clarify, we are unable to transfer the CMDR saves, we also cannot do a wealth transfer between the same platform.

Be careful as the button that you describe, we do not discourage the use of. However, it will clear the CMDR save that is on the initial account so all progress will be lost using this button.

If there is anything else that we can do to help, please let us know! :)

Thx for the reply. One more question though. Is the user actually warned about this? I don't see a visible warning. Does the user get a warning when clicking on the unlink button?

Hi CMDR,

To confirm we do indeed provide a warning to the players in the form of a message that states that all player data may indeed be lost, the unlinking feature is essentially designed for players who wish to leave the game and don't want the account associated to their console anymore! :)

Hopefully, this helped to provide clarification regarding your matter however if you still have any questions or issues please do not hesitate to contact us as we are always happy to help! :D
