No... but Frontier is clearly intent on following some of the design philosophy of the movie series... which means exaggerated and unrealistic designs should be expected...
Except that it doesn't really. JP had mostly accurate-at-the-time designs with mostly plausible artistic flourishes. Showing new science the general public had never even heard of. There are of course some outliers such as Dilophosaurus, JP3 Pteranodon and maybe the JP3 raptors. But they ere pretty good for their time. Some were even cutting edge science, such as Spinosaurus.
JW changed this and ignored most new science and went back in time to create retro designs from before JP. With some notable scientific updates such as Pteranodon crest, apatosaurus nostrils and baby trike horns.
The Liopleurodon is just, wrong. It just makes it look like a weird crocodile. A completely unrelated animal. So instead of making a Liopleurodon that looks like a pliosaur except cooler with artistic flourishes and more distinct. They just made it look like a generic misshapen croc. Although I suppose you could argue that it follows a similar design aesthetic as Baryonyx and just making it look like a generic croc for no reason. But then the Baryonyx doesn't really fit with any of the film designs either.
The Liopleurodon is really one of the worst designs in the game. (Don't get me wrong, I really like most of the game and many designs from the first game were also improved. I really love that most theropods hold their wrists correctly now)
