Newcomer / Intro List of ships to buy in different systems?

I have found all kinds of tools for trading which is great and all, but is there any data base or tool to tell me what systems and stations sell which ships?

I have pretty much seen them all for sale at one point or another after only playing the game for 4 days, but the hell if I remember where certain ones are sold if I want to purchase said ship and it isn't in the current station I am in.


i.e. I am in Station X in System Y, I want to buy a Python. It doesn't have one for sale, how do I know where to find one, other than just aimlessly flying around until I mange to dock someplace that sells them?

Fly aimlessly until you find one, or ask on the forums.
That's how it works.

Well, High tech economies always have more ships than the other types of economies, and this is seconded by industrial economies. Look there.

It varies unfortunately. High tech high pop world's are your first port of call. I heard that the wiki might have a list of sightings of ships, although that will be neither complete, nor neccessarily correct when you go there

^This. For example, the Fer-de-Lance:

Go to Purchase Location, click on Expand and there you can find some. But it's very empty and like said, will probably never be complete.
