They certainly have been in the right circumstances - well good ideas that are readily implementable without much impact on the rest of the pipeline, have been anyway.
A few off the top of my head from the 3.3 Beta.
Numbering the planetary POIs was suggested by Factabulous.
Various of us suggested adding the POIs to the system map was suggested by various (including myself). - though this was only done for after DSSing, not FSSing which was the actual suggestion.
I suggested getting rid of the old style 'First Discoveries'* and replacing it with a full scroll-able list. (Though this was done so quickly it may have just been a coincidence and FD were going to do it anyway.
(Edit - with apologies for two of those being personal ones - I hope it doesn't come across as blowing my own trumpet in any way - they're just ones that for obvious reasons I know off the top of my head. There's plenty more that have been implemented which were suggested by others, and equally I've made plenty more suggestions which haven't been implemented.)
Other suggestions were followed. Plenty weren't.
There's a general pattern to the ones that were followed - all relatively simple suggestions. which aligned with what FD were generally doing. All which generally benefit everyone, and don't really have any negatives for anyone. All which can be reasonably easily implemented with very low impact on the overall pipeline.
It's generally a good sort of checklist/template to use when making suggestions.
*For anyone that wasn't round or doesn't remember, the old version of UC First Discoveries just slowly typed out every first discovery one by one, letter by letter. Video of it here
