Litter sizes?

Sorry if this has already been answered or is in the wrong section, but do we have any information on how realistic litter sizes will be?

Obviously, for animals that can have tens and hundreds, I don't expect this, but for animals like tigers who have 3-4 cubs on average will this be reflected in game? Or will they just stick with one per pregnancy?

I think they'll go for a realism route with this too, with variances between animals. Genetics may play a role, with inbred or less genetically healthy pairings producing smaller litters. So a wolf could have anywhere between 1 and 6 pups depending on a number of factors, with an element of randomisation.

Though I suspect animals that can have large litter/clutch sizes (like Iguanas, which can lay up to 40 in one go) will be nerfed a little bit just to make things easier on the player and on the system memory ;-)

I hope they implement litters in species it would be applicable to, and I don't see why they wouldn't when they've been saying they're going for realism. I can't wait to see how the young interact with each other and the adult animals. I wonder if they will interact with their parents differently than other adults in the family group? Will we be able to tell who the immediate families are just by how they interact with each other? This is the gameplay I'm most looking forward to, so I have a lot of questions on how it will work and not enough answers.
