I've raised a grand total of ONE ticket in my 4+ yrs playing Elite. Is that because I have had zero issues with the game? Errr nope it isn't...I've lost many credits, ships, instances etc due to bugs, crashes etc but I don't regard these issues to be of a sufficiently serious nature to burden the people working on the game, unlike some of you dorks who never stop bothering them with trivial queries - just like those irritating hypochondriacs who never give their doctors a break!
Now, that one ticket was due to a game-breaking issue, whereby a bug caused the game to freeze at the rebuy screen, specifically the detention centre dialogue box; how did Support help? Well they closed the ticket due to "inactivity" without any investigation &/or communication with me. How long did you leave the query for it to become "inactive", I hear you ask? Ooooh,'must have been all of 24 hrs!!
Incidentally, the only reason I even found out about their response to my problem was because the issue sorted itself out when I logged in next, hence I went to the support section to immediately inform them of this, out of pure courtesy - you might want to look up that word, support team - to avoid wasting their valuable time.
...ergo, based on my own experience, forgive me if I don't share your effusive, forelock-tugging reverence!
NB: Let's hope I never have any further problems now! Well, if I do, I can always get back to playing X4...despite the inferior flight model; after all, those amazing space stations won't build themselves ya know! ��
