Little help

Hi guys/Gals

Recently saw this games amazing alpha footage and thought id join as a Beta Premium member. Would dearly have loved to join you in the alpha but its xmas and money was tight.

I received a load of emails from Frontier and due to have a few drinks the other night I deleted them in some stupor thinking they were spam D'OH

... I was wondering is there something I should be doing to get access to some pledgers forum or whatever. The only email ive got left is one that at least shows my premium is in pre-order.

Very many thanks and im sorry if the information is right under my (rather large) nose.

You already have access to the forums. So no problem. And you have kept the good email that shows your pre-order. So it is essential

Thanks guys - damned real ale was a bit funkier than Id thought and I was showing my age minus 20 at my pub fitness that night. :smilie:

It really does seem like the alpha went really well for the community that had access. I'm a backer over at SC and I know that a lot of people are quite jealous and happy that ED is also looking very strong indeed.

Now to have a damned good read through the forums, from what Ive seen this looks like a very friendly helpful community so I'm looking forward to a change from the forums at SC which have gotten a bit uptight recently.

I've come to really enjoy this forum. It has a much, how should I put it, healthier atmosphere than many others I hang out at. For instance, the Egosoft one can be positively toxic at the moment.

Plenty to read, even if it is a bit chaotic because (according to a certain mod) we don't know how to use the search function. ;)

We're pretty laid back here so no-one will bite you if you ask questions. :cool:

A lot of thought has gone into designing this game. I'm thrilled at the fact that I have been given the chance to see game design from the inside as it were, and relieved at the prospect of a game that once it is released will, hopefully, be everything I wanted in an Elite game and hopefully relatively bug free to boot!

Oh, and welcome to the forums of course! :)

Its great really, like I said im a backer at SC also but i really like how open the developers here are in comparison to SC.

The design Archive is a treasure trove of information - each post/idea/design laid out in amazing detail on a vast range of subjects and all the while open for input from the backers.

At SC I kinda find that they come up with an idea and say "yep thats a thing we'll do cos its a thing" - no real road map how that thing thats a thing is going to happen.

Don't get me wrong I think SC has potential to be a great game possibly a better game than ED (in some peoples opinion) but its going to be a bumpy ride getting there.

I think the development here is doing the right things at the right time and at the right pace with proper consideration so well done Frontier.

Elite is a great family, who brings together the Frontier team and backers. I do not think that SC will be a better game than ED. It will miss him the soul which makes that ED is unique
