General / Off-Topic Live coverage: SpaceX rocket on track for Saturday launch

I know, real world, but nothing says we can't play and watch the future at the same time!

The SpaceX launch is scheduled for Saturday at 10:01am ET (15:01pm UK). A Falcon 9 rocket will boost a Dragon spacecraft carrying about 2.5 tons of food, water, and scientific experiments to the International Space Station. About 10 minutes after launch, the first stage of the rocket will attempt to land back at Landing Zone 1, near the launch pad.

Watch the launch here:

And like last time there should be live video from the vehicle detailing blastoff to landing.

They scrubbed it because of an issue that had been identified quite a while before the launch window. Obviously it wasn't resolved by the last ten seconds so try again tomorrow.

Apparently CRS missions usually have micetronauts on them. It's not clear if they have enough food to wait a day or will be rotated out. I hope micetronauts don't get too upset if sidelined for another crew. :)

I know some dislike the wooping Americans, but I do like the excitement from the staff on the hosted live streams. I just pretend that instead of the "USA, USA" chants they're turning to each other politely and saying "jolly good show". :)

Given ED's audience you think they'd be a little more Space x chatter. It's like the non naff version of the future happening now.

Edit: I mean, just look. Real atmospheric planetary landings. :)
