Live feed with added lies!!!

Silly me, not getting your clever "I'm just having fun" OP. I'm sure others got the funny joke.

Or maybe you're a bridge-dweller?

If you encountered me on youtube after making a, shall we say silly, comment I have been known to go full postal troll on them but not in the forums of a game I love, I would get banned right away.

Sorry if your offended by my little bit of fun, it was never intended to upset anyone.

There's supposed to be a white dwarf at the heart of the Red Spider Nebula. :(
In Beta, there were 2 Cygnus-X1's (but only one of them had a black hole. I went to the other one.) :(
People make mistakes. It's a big galaxy. Thank you for pointing out this error. I'm sure someone will rectify it eventually.

I cannot believe what I have just heard on the live stream from Gamescom... Just about the biggest lie you could tell about ED... 'Every known star is in the galaxy'

Let us begin with UY Scuti, largest star in our galaxy... but it is not in the game. Out of the largest stars in the Milky Way they have included just one, CY Canis Majoris, which is about 8th on the list.

There are entire threads dedicated to this. It is known by FD that the galaxy is nowhere near complete or remotely accurate, not even Pluto has the right textures for what is now known about it.

I would like to know why the team at Gamescom are telling lies about the game?

And you know they also forgot that one star to the right.

But on a serious note:
Anything else to complain?
Is this even serious?

We all know FD wants and intends to do this to the best of their impressive abilities.
Why not go about this in a polite and helpful way.
Create a nice list of things you think are missing and post it in a thread.
Perhaps FD will get around to it and include it in one of their numerous updates.
It might not be a priority for them as the ED universe currently does not seem to be in scarce supply of stars

As far as textures of Pluto go... I am sure they will update them in the near future.

For FD the Sol system will most likely be the most labour intensive, because it is the one we know the most about.
Just give these guys a brake. They can't do it all at once.

If its not there report it as a bug.
or its not there yet because it going to be unique.
or its under a different name.

I figure that this is worth discussing instead of the current - It cost to much - I wan pewpew u pirates - Insult solo player threads.

I personally don't like it when a company makes a claim that is not true - it's called false advertising - which to those of you that do not know is kind of against the law.

So sorry for not throwing a tantrum over the cost of bread or one of the other hot topics to moan about but I prefer to moan about this. If you don't like it, don't join in! See how simple it is!

The wording is a bit strong, though, calling it false advertisement. The Stellar Forge output is probably the best model of the galaxy we have in a game, and pains have been taken to include everything that it is possible to include. When looking closer, there may be divided opinions about which stars to include and what to call them. UY Scuti has 4 names at least, as an example. So which one do we use? Of course, none of those are in the simulated galaxy here, but that may be due to its status as a variable star, many of which (Cepheids) seem to be missing as well. That may be complicated to code, though, and make it work on the scale of the Milky Way may be nigh impossible. It may come in a later patch when accretion and such have been sorted out as well.

Frankly I prefer less moaning and more constructive criticism. Also, there may even be discussions of this in the past, including communications from the developers. I'm not going to look that up for you, though.

We need a separate forum for whining.

This IS the separate forum for whining!
