Just heard on the live lave radio news (devs present) that there is 3 new ships coming in the next few weeks in 1.4, and one is the Federal dropship mk2. More combat orientated with 2 large and 2 medium hardpoints.
And a Federal Gunship too.

Pc will get CQC only days after x box, not weeks.

yes that too, it was stated there will be an official post tomorrow with all the news from Lave radio included.

Great news! So new:

- imp eagle,
- fed dropship mk2,
- fed gunship,
and also in CQC
- the Condor!!

The more ships the better.

he says "players want a part of the galaxy to call their own, call home and defend that space, develop their own canon for it on websites and as groups....and powerplay allows them to do that"

had to turn it straight off.

Really, is that what Frontier think? it's actually the complete opposite

Three ships? So that's the Imp eagle, the dropship and gunship.
Another Dropship? Meh.

Federal Gunship however... better shields and armour? 6 guns, 2 small, 4 med 1 large?
Sounds like it will be a worthwhile (not to mention cheaper) alternative to my Fer de lance, unless it's a large vessel like the Python/Conda.
The shields will make it though, I can get about 750MJ of shielding in my ferdie. Could probably hit more if I went down to MCs or Pulse.

Very very intresting anyway, thanks for the info lave radio. I'll have to check it out, I wasn't a listener before.

I don't need any new ships, they're just cheap and nasty "content" - I need proper content. And CQC is a non-event for me.

Ah well, all hope rests with the colossal announcement - I'm ready and waiting to be disappointed! ;)
