Plant based for nearly 22 years. No regrets, no weight issues and no cold or flu since the 90's. Last vaccine I had was the BCG in the 80's. I work in care so am around illness all the time. Veganism is easy and if done right, inexpensive and makes you feel jacked with energy.
Not happening, thankfully in the UK we have a choice. Also the doctors are aware the flu jab has a 3 percent efficacy. They just don't know what strain is due in the season. Russian roulette no thanks.Wow, interesting dichotomy.
That's one of the stronger cases for vaccinations, fiduciary responsibility.

You have to give up alcohol, tobacco, meat, dairy, sweets and cakes. You have to exercise, go to bed early and wake up early.
None of this will guarantee you'll live longer, but it sure will feel like it.![]()

Based on the data, I'm modifying the basic plan. Can't just quit all meat in one go personally, but it can be adjusted.
Day 1 - Fast. Nothing but plain tea, no sugar. One hour medium cardio. That gives a 2500 cal deficit.
Day 2 - Refeed. Normal diet, with more emphasis on plant protein and fish, but meat is OK for one meal. Two hours heavy lifting, with high protein intake after. Est. 200 cal deficit.
Day 3 - Rest. Medium protein at 30g per 6 hour feed, low carb. Mostly plant protein. Looking for 800 cal deficit.
Running these micro cycles now, losing about a pound of fat every 3 days, and getting stronger. I get 48 hours protein synthesis following weightlifting, and still maintain/grow muscle. Once I hit the body composition target, I'll reset the macros.
What's your total protein intake to body mass ratio at?
185 pounds mass total.
Day 1 - zero protein, obviously
Day 2 - 4 meals @ 40 grams = 160 grams (lifting day)
Day 3 - 4 meals @ 30 grams = 120 grams
3 day total - 280 grams, or 94 grams/day average
- so roughly 0.5 grams per pound per day.
Remember, I'm an older "experienced" lifter, so I'm not likely to be gaining overall at any fast rate here, especially in a "cutting" phase. The idea is to switch MTOR on with heavy exercise, dose with leucine(protein) every 6 hours for 36-48 hours, and then fast to switch on GH secretion.
Feed frequency faster than Q6H fails because of "muscle-full" phenomenon.

I know it's a compromise, and am open to improvements or suggestions.
