I'm still in absolute awe from what I saw last night. This looks like the best game ever made and I'm not over reacting that is seriously the way I feel. It's so perfect, everything I was looking at was making my jaw drop.

The stream was incredible.
Absolutely amazing.
I couldnt take my eyes off the Roctopus. Out of everything it was the one thing that blew my mind. It is exactly the same as a ride at my childhood holiday resort.
Taken in the 80s and no longer exists :(
If you look close even the faces on the carts are the same in PC. Brought back a lot of memories.

We still have one at our September local fair in Prato (Italy)!

When RCTW did their first live stream, I was in awe. It was beautiful to see a working park, modern graphics that really do look great, no denying it. But now I've realised that is as far as it goes with RTCW.

Planet Coaster didn't have the working park, but I thought it was outstanding, a really nice wow moment to see such care and love that's been brought into the actual feel of the game. It sure did make my imagination explode with ideas and here's why, It's all about the themes, the concept artwork and styles for areas goes above on beyond what I was expecting, this is MMO type thematics, crazy ideas that actually works so well. One thing that really stuck out for me, was the white chapel with the bell, it's a beautiful concept that I hope makes it though to the game, all I was imagining was a coaster climbing up to the top where the bell is, then the bell dinging as the coaster runs down the slope.

It's all well and good having User Generated Content, but from what I can tell with RCTW, they're 3d image of a mountain, that fills up an area, you can change it, you can't go through it, you can't build on to it, but all you can do, is work around it. That to me is a fundamental flaw. With Planet Coaster, It's ad-hoc, if you want your coaster to go through something, you can make it do it, if you want an arch guests can walk through you can, if you want your coaster to dive inside the arch that guests are walking though, you can do that too.

With everything so modular, that will help expand UGC in a big way (when it's ready to be released), because people have freedom to place it where-ever and on whatever they wanted.

Massive congrats to the devs and creation guys with all these ideas, while I still profoundly disagree with the Alpha/Beta access pricing, I see this game as something that will re-invent the genre.

Edit: Also the stream was a little clumsy sometimes with the black screens for a bit, but one thing that really does stick out, is that the passion from John Laws. [up]

The stream was awesome such good conversation before aswell. Much discussions. What I like the most would be the UGC system/ Rollercoaster supports. Hopefully they could add so much more then what they showed. I really find it kinda hard to believe what they already added in PRE-ALPHA!!! Hopefully their fantasies is not reached the roof yet!

Hey guys,

I just wanted to say a quick thank you all for joining us last night. It was really great to see so many of the regular faces there. You guys were awesome.

So glad you liked the stream we're very much looking forward to doing more of these spotlights in the build up to alpha so keep your eyes peeled for more annoucnements.

Once again, thank you so much for the kind words and support.

Zac

And Thank you. To me, You give us more than we expected, I can't believe it was pre alpha footage, It seems like it was worthy waiting 12yrs for this game.
Thank you Frontier, You are the Best.[yesnod]

Did anyone else notice small details like the AC extractors on the side of buildings? The modular building is going to be epic

I must be insane because I grinned when I saw the air conditioning unit and kept repeating "Air conditioning! Air conditioning!" in my head! [haha]
Sure do love fine details like the actual mechanical workings of buildings.

Yea, I saw the same thing and I'm thinking "does this mean if the guests go into an unconditioned building during a hot day they will become sweaty and irritable" LOL That would be really awesome!

This especially made my day, the fact that the game includes assets for things guests aren't even supposed to see in a theme park that are purely there for functionality is very promising! [yesnod]

That.... Mmm... Im out of words...[mouth shut]

Just only say... Congrats Frontier and thanks for make that real...

Thanks!

the details of the supports with the screws and the concrete was kinda shocking to me ( in a good way ) ! as someone who is not the biggest coaster pro i now understand why in the rctw forum everybody is yelling about the bad supports.

they just looked f***ing incredible !

PC could do with a Kerbal Space Program mirror function. For those who are not familiar with KSP: in that game when you are building a space ship every part you use can be mirrored so you have two of the exact same part exactly 180 degrees apart from each other. You can also do it with 4 parts exactly 90 degrees and 6 parts exactly 60 degrees.

This function would be a huge help when designing those huge center piece fountains that you want to be perfect. Or even with something as benign as duplicating the same custom statue on the opposite side of the path.

Wow! I didn't know about that and it would be useful.

What I'd love to see from them, seen as they're really amazing artists and genius idea creationists, is some sort of collaboration with external IP's. I know they want to add their own IP's which is a great idea too. It had me thinking when I saw the scifi concepts, what if they had a deal with the studios that made Alien, so we could have some H.R. Giger looking paths and Facehugger lighting.

very awesome stream! That is the theme park game that the most of us want!! Maybe all of us :) .
Do you have any informations about the date of the next live stream Brett? It's plannend also on wednesday or could it be on another day?

I loved watching this live stream. I just purchased the Early Bird Edition of the game.

Planet Coaster looks absolutely magical and I am very much looking forward to playing it soon.
