Live Streaming - "Kerrash Landing"

FRONTIER: ELITE 2 Live stream

I will be live streaming my play through of Frontier Elite 2 every night I can until the Alpha release:

When the alpha for Elite: Dangerous is ready I will be live streaming that too, now that Frontier have confirmed it is ok.

My aim is to get to Elite rating before Alpha is out, tune in and cheer me on.
I will try to answer any questions and take request in the twitch.tv live chat.

I honestly have no idea if this will work, never tried it before; but if you are interested.

Hopefully I will be able to show some of the Alpha, if I am allowed?

Firefox with Adblock - I saw no steenken' ad!

No sound either.

Was killing stuff really that easy in Frontier, it looks like fish in a barrel!? I never played it much.

Nah, it's only recently I have got the hang of it ;)

EDIT: Sorry folks, I will have to call it a night for now; Hopefully I can show it longer tomorrow! ;)

I can see how this might be useful to both the alphas and maybe even FD and would be fun, but might it not do the games reputation more harm than good at alpha stage?

(I appreciate that FD won't be able to stop leaks anyway but I am confident that Kerrash woukdn't want to do it if it was against FD's wishes).

That said it could make for (another) unique way of using the community to advertise ED.

And although no official answer, general consensus is that FD don't have any NDA or other legal block that might stop us... although i'd expect there to be an EULA of some description that we'll have to agree to before logging in-game!

Its a concern I expressed a while back but I suppose it depends on how advanced the Alpha is in terms of game readiness. I have the impression we are going to have a limited game functionality to explore.

I hadn't really considered all the other backers when I was being completely ardent on there being an NDA. I think that there is reasonable concern but.. if I weren't in the Alpha I would be busting to see something of the game, and it is a bit mean to deny majority the backers, in ever increasing numbers a look a the game.

I'd like to make a suggestion that those who do live steam do so after having tested the game a bit first. We have to expect there are going to be issues and if I may be so bold to say so, please make sure what you are streaming is going to reflect positively, as best you can, to represent the game well.

If uploading to youtube it offers opportunity to edit and show the game well so thats certainly less of a concern.

Thank you for the all comments, I will do the best I can to do Frontier and E: D justice ;)

Up until alpha I am gong to be replaying FE2 to get to Elite rating! The race is on.

Only that easy when you get a hang of it (and have the best beam laser installed). I only ever used the 5MW laser on my Asp to make the battles last at least a little bit longer. It quickly became dull when you had enough shield generators and the best weapons in existence.

No problem, It was great fun last night; if a little nerve racking :eek:
I will wait for confirmation from Frontier to see what they don't mind me showing from E: D

For the time being I am going to keep streaming FE2 until I reach Elite rating, hopefully before the alpha starts! :eek:

I see that you are up to Deadly already. Did you start with a fresh game or continue an old game?

I started a new game a few months back, but only recently started streaming it.
