hi cmdrs,

I have the Liz Ryder invite and am due to pick up the landmines she wants, but I notice on EDDB that her base Demolitions Unlimited in Eurybia lists landmines as prohibited.

So what is going to happen when I roll up with 200 of the blighters, will I get scanned amd fined or even attacked, if fined where can I pay off the fine, do I need to avoid a scan, guess I just donate them via the engineers menu?

I am generally a law abiding cmdr so have no experience in these matters ... so please, no "git bad" replies. :)

It's no big deal either way.

Worst case, you'll get a fine for carrying contraband.
You'll still be able to hand them over to LR to unlock her.
If you get fined, you can pay it off at any station in Eurybia or any (if there are any) other station where the faction who issued the fine are present... or at an IF.

If you're seriously worried about getting scanned while landing at her base, land 10km away, dismiss your ship and then drive to her base in an SRV, request docking and then drive into the indicated "garage", where your ship will magically be waiting.

No worries, I don't think your ship gets scanned at engineer bases. If I am wrong, hit silent running for a couple of seconds or pop a heat sink to interrupt the scan. Standard smuggler MO.

Yeah, you indeed need to donate them. They are illegal in the system, but when approaching Liz they are not, its a jurisdiction thingy I believe, though its been a while I been there so I could be wrong. So don't get interdicted and scanned, once you drop from SC at the facility you should be save.

Pretty sure you can be scanned but I'm not sure if the landmines will count as contraband.

I vaguely recall being in this situation a couple of months ago.
Was unlocking LR with my alt account and I'd filled up my T9 with landmines to deliver to her.
As I was gliding down I thought "This thing probably isn't going to be able to land quickly" and then, sure enough, as I was landing I got a "scan in progress" message.

Not sure if the landmines got ignored or whether I got fined but, either way, it wasn't a big deal.

TBH I couldn't remember if you got scanned at these, it's not something that's stuck in my memory.

I've probably just ignored the scans as there doesn't seem to be any benefit in bringing contraband to an engineer base anyway.

I have. Gave it a try smuggling some stuff into an outpost. Normally I would go silent running but I gave this a go and evaded 2 scans in that drop off doing that.
