Newcomer / Intro Liz Ryder

Just make more upgrades.
After FSS the System and mapping the planet I noticed x human signals and 1 other.
Yay I found Liz Ryder's Demolition unlimited. I have friendly status with Eurybia blue mafia but as I approached the base I noted "hostile" in my panel.
Then the lil' rascals fired at me!
I was shocked, poor innocent Commander Ollie was being made out to be a baddie!
Maybe I should have brought flowers and chocolates but I am not sure how to progress with this Engineer.
Any Advice would be welcome.

That's probably why. Engineers aren't a real faction so it shouldn't be possible for you to get hostile with them. It's possible they default as hostile if you're not invited though. Wouldn't know, never visited one without an invite.
Engineers base’s don’t show up on maps until you have been invited.
She prefers land mines to flowers.
Be nice to the Eurybia Blue Mafia some more and hope they remember to get you an invite.
Don't you have to do an "Engineer Invite" mission? I am sure I had to do that to get the invite.
This. Like with e.g. Marco Qwent, you'll need to secure an invitation mission from the patron faction, which (in this case) is locked behind your status with that faction. Once you got that, you better find a good source of landmines - the gal got an unhealthy fixation on explosives.
I'll have to drag my Anaconda out of Mothballs to get a cargo hold of 200.
Whatever wll she do wil 200 of them and of course all the 200's of those who have gone before me... maybe she wants to "mine" the planet!
