But since the last graphical update the color is just a disaster...

Not saying your game screenshot looks like it should, but that last image of the real milky way is not what it looks like from space. The Earth's atmosphere (and geology/biology when included along the edge of a shot for that matter) makes it so much prettier.

The galaxy in ED has always been "yellower" than your typical astro-photo. That's because the galaxy colour is generated by averaging the contents of the stars, and the vast majority of stars are reddish-yellow, rather than blue.

Am I the only one that's largely happy with the graphics in ED? I don't really need it to look realistic, I need it to look obviously like the galactic plane, which it does, and it's still pretty if not completely realistic.

It’s annoyed me since 3.3 dropped - I’d love to be able to turn off the skybox filter and see it as it used to be.

It goes away if you travel a good distance from the star, but it’s a shame it happens at all.
