Llamas not breeding because of monogomy?

So I noticed my llamas are barely breeding, so I looked into the issue. In the zoopedia it says they're polygynous, which I assume means they can have multiple mates, right? So I was perplexed to why they don't breed. So I looked in the "compare mates" thingy and noticed a lock symbol. It says they're monogamous and can't breed with other animals when they already have a mate? Is that a bug or are they really monogamous?

Is it possible they gave birth recently? They can only have offspring every 2 years

No, I do also have a few of those but the text when you hover over the lock icon literally says they can't have other mates when they already have a mate.

from what i read online: 1 male can have multiple females, but a female can Not have multiple males

Hmm, yeah that seems to be it. That's rather annoying.
