As mentioned previously there was a bug in place where people who used Module Storage to fit two or more unique modules to their ship (Shield generators for example) or using invalid modules were unable to access their Commander saves.
We've had one fix go out in the 2.2.1 update but we have an additional server hotfix going live momentarily to address some additional load outs.
I just want to take this opportunity to confirm that your Commander save is never at risk. In addition, here is some quick instructions on how to resolve the issue should you get the error message.
If you load the game and are met with the message "LOAD FAILED
There was problem retrieving commander data from the server. Try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, contact technical support via the game launcher.". Return to main menu, wait a couple of minutes (go make a brew) and come back and try again.
This should help resolve the issue. However, if you are still having any troubles please contact support, who will be happy to get you back in the pilot’s seat.
