Loadout Profiles

At the moment commanders have to find modules for their ships either by seeking them out station-by-station or using external tools such as the EDDB.io to source them.

What if players could create "wishlist" profiles per owned vessel for the main "modes" for which a vessel can serve: Exploring, Combat, Trading and Mining, and perhaps a Custom profile.

This would allow a commander to go through an entire list of modules available for his ship and "wishlist" them to a profile. When the commander reaches a station with marked modules available they would be highlighted and an option made available in Outfitting to purchase/equip some or all of the modules in one go via some kind of "add" checklist which works out the total cost and gives a store/exchange option.

A commander could use these profiles to store his modules and switch from profile to profile, say from Combat mode to Trader mode, in one click instead of transferring individual modules via the current process which has takes a lot of fiddling about. In one-click his combat-themed bulkheads and interdictor would change to an arangement of cargo bays, or Combat to Miner would change cannons and bulkhead to mining lasers with a refinery in one go.

Just a thought to help speed up the process of buying and switching modules. Of course, it would either require the commander to have modules stored on a station in advance, be prepared to have them transferred from other stations, or purchase all the modules.

I think this would be most useful during Community Goals when a commander decides to stick around the target station for the week, switching from doing Bounties to Trading frequently.

I think a way of creating vessel loadout profiles would be more useful to commanders in-game than Holo-Me profiles, which are more visual than anything. Anything that speeds up the grind is good for business.

Cheers.

I did well to look for "equipment profile" you suggest.. it avoids opening another wire.. and then you write better English than google I have the impression lol.

in fact I thought of this idea because of the new equipment against targoids.. which makes this option even more obvious in my opinion. knowing that I prefer to play with one single ship .. I have only one .. I can not make me the idea to have several.
