Newcomer / Intro Loans how to pay back?

It will be taken out of your future profits (I think it's about 10% of money earned until it is all payed off).

... and unless you're concerned about your combat/trading/exploring progress, you may as well just wipe your save and restart from scratch.

Im already at 2Mil credits I'm not going to wipe. I now have 3 ships, but I'm just not knowledgable on the ins and outs of all the undocumented features of the game such as buying on credit.

I think it was added after the game came out because people whined when they died without insurance. If I recall there's a cap on the loan though, so don't depend on it especially if you haven't paid it all back.

Just don't fly without insurance. :D

It's not undocumented....it is on page 113 of the official manual although the credit value of 200,000CR looks wrong (thought it was a million).
The latest manual is available on the top right of the PC/Mac launcher screen, but if you are on Xbox not sure if you have access to this:
http://hosting.zaonce.net/elite/website/assets/English-PlayersGuide_v2.00-Horizons.pdf

But don't worry, I didn't read the manual until I clocked up 50 to 100 hours and built up my skills/knowledge via trial and error with a little help from YouTube & Google (Disclaimer: Other video sites and search engines are available :p)

Value of loan scales with pilot rank, but yeah seems like it's too low. Maybe they put it at the lowest so people wouldn't over-estimate their loan value.

Also yeah there is an incredibly long manual akin to the old days where you'd save your pocket money to buy the game-bible one month then the game the next, by which time you'd just managed to read through the game-bible! :D

One concern, if you are raking up a loan it means you are dying without insurance. If you continue on this route you will eventually die without enough loan left and loose your ship. You REALLY REALLY don't want to do this so always check your re-buy cost versus your bank balance before you launch. Ideally have 2-3 times your re-buy but this is not always possible but always have your re-buy to not risk total ship loss and ending up back in a sidewinder.

There are only 85 pages on this pdf? ?
Sorry I meant page 111. The booklet is in A5 format. Your pdf viewer is probably showing the page overview in A4 format.

You can jump through the pdf by clicking on 'back to contents>' on the top right on any page apart from the front/back cover
Then clicking on 'Insurance Fees.......111'
