Local Career - Police

I would love to see local (restricted to one star system, or systems controlled by one faction), more official (as opposed to independent pilots getting odd job here and there) career opportunities, tied to local factions.
Careers that would require you to make a quota of specific missions (let's say every week) followed by reputation increase with controlling faction and some small salary.
For example a career in Local Authority / Police.

mission example: police patrol
Player (and maybe some other NPC ships following him), must visit number of local waypoints. like Resouce Extraction Site, Nav Beacon, Space Installation etc and scan ships in the area with manifest scanner for contraband, or looking for locally wanted criminals.

Every peacefull civilian ship destroyed (by the player or otherwise) during the mission would result in player reputation drop within the Force up to a point when he would be terminated (ships destroyed by the player should, of course, have more serious impact on that reputation drop), not to be able to reaply again.

Serving in local Police could get the player access to specific ships (with special Police paintjobs and decals), with removed Hyperjump ability, so that they can by used only in that local system, for the duration of the mission only.
Upon landing in the main starport in the system (or maybe some special new station type - "Police HQ") player would have a choice to start "Career mission", for which he would be given his service vehicle (and maybe NPC wingman or two).
Those vehicles could also be tier based - First you can only fly small police ship, like Eagle or Viper, later, as your career progresses Cobra and finally Police Anaconda.

Career like this could work very well for players enjoying roleplaying and influencing BGS, as these missions should result in some influence and security increase.
 
I like the idea.

A simple way to implement it is to have an open ended "Law Enforcement Officers needed" mission type. When you take it, you get a bonus for every pirate you kill in system, for every ship scanned, for every minute spent in supercruise, and for every POI you drop into (patrolling). You also can collect stolen goods without getting fined and turn them in for a bonus.

These missions could be open-ended, and your pay could accrue until you turn in the mission, which cashes you out.
