Newcomer / Intro local trading vs rare commodities trading

Ive seen alot of videos on you tube about rare commodities trading and making alot of money from it. but what ive seen from personal experience is I make alot more money locally trading between systems than I do from rare goods. I have a t6 transport and I trade beryllium and crop harvesters between two systems with 104 tons of cargo I make over 100,000 a trip and only jump once or twice to the next system then back. round trip I make over 200,000 in like 5 min. trading rares u have to round up commodities from all over and transport them 160lys away to make half what I make in 5 min trading locally.

Yes.

Rares are a honeypot. T6 and up, you can make more from standard commodities trading, but some people like the risks involved, and the pirates love those people.

From a T6 on you make more money trading 'normal' goods.
The Cobra is the last ship where it makes sense to trade rares.

im not sure if u mean rares trading is more dangerous than local? I think local trading is more dangerous, because you have about a million dollars worth of local coms in ur ship and if u crash or ur pirated u lose millions. in rare coms they r alot cheaper and less money invested. bnut i do like rare goods trading sometimes.

i liked the link u provided very helpful. like everyone is saying. if u don't have the tonnage and a good fsd rares are the way to go but if u have tonnage then bulk is the way. thanks guys.
