Any chance you can make it a little easier to locate a fleet carrier by name within the system map. Most hot spot systems are loaded with Carriers and clicking on each one while waiting for the clunky menu to appear with the name makes me want to punch myself in the d*ck over and over for a better time. I mean do you gents even play this game. Does this idea of better gameplay even get discussed. Once again another post that falls on deaf ears

If you are going to your own carrier or a friends, bookmark it and use that to set it as a target. If you are going to carriers not worth bookmarking, try searching for the letter code or name in the sysmap/galmap search I think that works as well, but I have not tried it. I know you can search starport names that way. I use the bookmark to get around 'browsing' the 100+ carriers in popular systems issue.
I have to admit that the move away from mouse-over in the maps in Odyssey is absolutely infuriating.
Agreed, that's one of my biggest complaints about the OD galaxy map, but you have to realise that was done due to player complaints about the popup, so it's hard to justify changing it back now.

Hover or click - either is terribad for finding a FC. A prior bookmark, or the nav panel are about the best ways - or hope the owner can tell you which planet they are near...

That rarely happens to me, I have learnt over time to be careful when clicking, I find it's more likely for me to actually miss selecting something altogether, that's why the popup was good, you could add and remove bookmarks on stars and bodies much easier than you can with the new system, and you could see more info in the panel rather than having to click several panels, there's much more mouse movement involved now, but I still prefer it over the old system map and galaxy map due to it's advantages.
