Lock on to nearest Mission Station / Installation

Ok so flying missions today and I'm scratching my head thinking why when I jump in to a system do I have to go to the Nav screen and find a missions Destination.
Can't we have it so that when we enter a system that the NEAREST Mission destination is selected ?

Would save me 20 mins per game easy.

Workaround for a lot of mission types:

If the destination is a station, you can set the route directly to it
- galaxy map
- system map for destination system
- select station, click "route" icon
...and then it'll auto-select once you enter the system

Or if you're running missions in a fairly small area, you can bookmark the stations and route from the bookmarks without going to the system map

Thanks for the info, but being a VR player I tend to stay away from the Galaxy map as much as possible.

But saying that could you do me a favor please ? Can you open the gal map, type in a system name, pick a planet, then a base, and then let me know how much time went by from initially opening the map.

If my suggestion of autolocking when hitting a system can save me whatever the time is on EACH jump that I make, then isn't that a bonus to play time ?

About 15 seconds for me - noting that I picked the system with a mouse rather than typing the name - which I'd generally do while getting out of station mass-lock.

Giving the missions a "route to" option in the transactions tab would certainly be a nice convenience, though. There's a few things which could be sped up a bit with more "route to" options like that.

Worth mentioning that for most mission types you shouldn't have to type anything, as both the mission screen and the transaction tabs view have a button that takes you to the destination system in the galaxy map, from which you can enter the system map and route to the station.

Personally, I would settle for a faster way to jump to the top of the navigation tab listing. Nothing like looking left to quickly select a nearby destination, only to have to scroll all the way up from the bottom of the list.

Hi I'm back again and noticed that mission stations are now Blue yay. But still really poor, jump in autolock to the nearest job. OR jump in little message comes up faster delivery time xxxx for credits, ORDER the damn things so I know what can be reached what can't etc.

Well, since this thread is back, credit where due: the map rewrite with the Odyssey release means that you can directly route to a mission destination in another system in a couple of clicks from the galaxy map, even if you haven't been to that system yet.
