What does this mean? Sometimes when I deliver goods to a station the delivery results in Lockdown. Sometimes Boom. What exactly do these mean and are they of any significance.

Minor factions are in states. Boom and lockdown are two of those. Lockdowns can be triggered when a system is in a low security state and i.e. smuggling booms. The state increases security levels again but creates a loss in wealth.
