Lockjaw's Landing, a Scenario
Happy Pride Month!
Have you been enjoying a certain LGBTQUIPA+ pirate rom-com? Trick out this sleepy little town with a pirate past, about to take in a torrent of tourists, as a rainbow showpiece! Or whatever you like, up to you now.
Originally a pirate refuge founded by the brave Captain Lockjaw and his doughty crew, this scenic, once-isolated town has gone into debt to take advantage of a new traffic tunnel and become a tourist destination. But the cruise line contract for next year has a typo -- the first ship's here now, and more on the way! How fast can you ramp up?
A rework of the beginner Career scenario Pirate Cove, with expanded scenery (some CBR buildings thrown in), new biome, guest spawners on opposite sides of the park, no initial staff, and new research trees. Requires Adventure, Spooky, and Studios DLCs.
Please note:
! ! ! Some paths low over water, please turn collisions off in your settings before opening this scenario to avoid water disappearing.
- Starter coaster is now a Cascade, aligned to world (as is its remade station building) -- the "Build A Coaster" Easy Objective is intended to be that Cascade.
- Old Pirate Wharf area is now aligned to world (so the wooden textures of paths aligned to it aren't skewed).
- "Staff Only" sheds now have Staff Rooms in them.
- Peg-Leg Pete's treasure is right where he left it . . . wonder if there's any more around?
- Everything's either initially available or researchable . . . but the transport rides are at the end of their research trees.
- Terrain editing permitted but max-expensive to reflect the difficulty of getting and using construction crew and equipment in a remote and rocky location.
- Coasters with standard car-swaps are together in the same research trees (when not available at startup).
- Guest traits at 100%, proportions tweaked.
Thanks to the art-devs who made Pirate Cove & CBR, and to Jerard Goling who made the cargo ship that I worked up into a cruise ship.
