Engineers Lockup storage - please, FD?

Normally I would never enter a HighRES or a compromised nav beacon (CNB) with anything of value in my hold. Now I have no choice. I've collected some stuff that engineers might need, but not just yet. So, if I want to do a bit bounty hunting, I have to get rid of the stuff first, and might never see any of it again.

I tried a CNB tonight, and my comms screen immediately filled up with gleeful comments from salivating pirates and then all hell broke loose as they all attacked me (I got away with half a hull).

This is one reason why we need to be able to park our valuables somewhere, so that bounty hunting becomes viable again. I wouldn't mind sacrificing on-board cargo space on a 1:1 basis for an in-port lockup facility.

Instead, they should just remove the commodities from all blueprints. It is time consuming enough to collect the materials already, we don't need the extra multiple layers of hassle for the commodities.

You can leave commodity rewards in your transactions tab with the faction on any mission that completes in space (timer stops upon fulfilling it).

Allows you to store them for future use. Once you need it, just go and fetch it.

I personally love fetching that final batch of cargo to go craft modules ...

Everything else is just filling that ever lasting 600 slot inventory space and checking every once in a while whether you stumbled across what's needed.

Getting the exact amount of what remains as a final sprint to the goal has at least some risk attached to it.

What abouit this batch of meta-alloys that I flew so far to pick up while they were avialable in Maia?

Do I REALLY have to cart them around with me until I find a use for them? I fear that, if I sold them, I'd never be able to find any when I really needed them. I have also a few other items that sound vaguely useful.

I don't want to put everything else on hold while I scramble to upgrade via Engineers. I should be able to continue doing the stuff I've always been doing, without feeling that I should lug a ball and chain around in my hold.

There is no blue print using meta-alloys so far. You only needed one to unlock farseer.

Sell everything else at an engineer market to increase your reputation and free your cargo hold. No need to drag along junk forever when you have no immediate use for it. Most can be bought at markets anyway and others will appear again as rewards.

Get the mats you need first.
Then buy the commodities (or do a mission that gives them close to the Engineer, they are quite common).
Don't need off ship storage, just a bit of nounce.
