It could be nice to be able to log a trip and later view it in galaxy map ether with a line or by marking the stars that was visited.

Might I suggest ED Discovery for the log and EDSM (ED Star Map) for the map.
It's kinda sad that all these things are 3rd party tools. Heck, when you 'buy trading data' you get fancy lines on your map that don't tell you anything. Sometimes when you run them, you even make a loss. You can't even see the damn prices when you buy trading data. Any trader that wants do to some decent money will use some kind of tool/website or another. And none of those tools came from frontier. Same for neutron highways. Or finding materials. Or finding some specific outfit/ship/commodity. It's always eddb, edsm, td... the ingame tools really suck. The only thing that works is the route finder with the filter if you already know where you're going.
It is a shame they're 3rd party yes, but they are useful tools so I'll keep using them til FDev make something better.
Oh God as an Xbox One player I would LOVE this and would shell out the bucks to prove it! The fact that I can't get my travel logs and scan data off of XBone and into EDDB kills me as an explorer.
I would love for these types of quality of life improvements instead of "space legs" any day... I'd like filters also to only see my planned route in the galaxy map instead of all the stars. How about an investment system into companies in the game, or trying for more dynamic markets. So many little things like that that would probably be easier to implement than what everyone is talking about, "space legs"...

I would love to drive this idea home, but I have come to the realization that this maybe a lot harder to do than anyone might realize. I don't have the tech knowledge to even think of how one would get into XBox One harddrive to pull Nav/Scanned data from Elite Dangerous. PC you just navigate to the folders, I really have no idea how XBox works, other than to turn it on and play it

What I mean to help this idea along. Ask your Xbox friend or PS4 players to support this idea. I don't know much about game console. Last one I had was NES.
