After short trips I leave for a first short exploration with mine Adder plan is to stay away for 28 days experimenting and learning.

27 apr 3301 leaving from Panci

29 apr 3301 Squeezing myself between two suns

30 apr 3301 find a system with 81 planets

5 may 3301 the hands of the devil want to embrace me

9 may 3301 Canopy breach to close by the first neutron star I find

10 may 3301 mine journey so far I,m half way of mine 28 days goal, found more Neutron Stars but still no signs of been able to find a blackhole

Oh man - what a way to end it...can you repair it with auto repair? Never had a breach yet

I don't heading home, this breach seems not be to bad I have read on a post in the forum

Your hull is still at 90%. As long as your modules are okay, the first breach is nothing. Once you get to 50-25%, start worrying, lol.

Your choice Commander, but ff it were me I'd turn the ship around and head home at the first sign of a cracked canopy.

Rudolphus : If this was your 1st canopy accident then, as others said, you got 2 more chances and on the 4th you die(as you won't reach a station in time)

p.s. How did you have that accident ? you are 0.22 Ls from that Neutron star, and that is the safe distance when you enter it with throttle off ?
Is there another star nearby that we can't see on radar because you hadn't honked yet ?

No need. I cracked mine at about 4,000 LY into my trip. 60,000 LY later, I'm nearly back at 17 Draconis without further damage.

If you set your speed to zero when the countdown timer begins, you should not experience any problems unless you exit between a pair of binary stars.

Edit: which more than likely will result in heat damage rather than affect the canopy.

This was mine first canopy accident.

Well because this is the next system i jumped to to safe me.

The system I was before also a neutron star, I have taken mine pet with me for this journey and he decided to jump on mine lap and I did petted him and after that,
I forgot the safety border around the neutron star and I did throttle up to go to the next. and then I did get the warning to close all systems did go off and mine canopy cracked.
and I could only get away from it with doing a jump to a next system

Then I'd say keep on truckin'!

FSD may malfunction a bit here and there but far enough out, that doesn't matter. Once they get down to around 60% or so is when I tend to thinkin' bout goin' back to civilized space.
