Logging off in outposts?

Does anyone know if this locks up the only medium landing pad if we log out while docked in it? I was just thinking about this today because I saw one yesterday locked up for a while yesterday? Dunno if put in on offline instance or? I know we can do the solo mode thing but I'm trying to avoid using that in fear of a not getting credit bug for something in the future.

I was also thinking mainly for the other guy/gal, I would hate to hamper their play if this were a possibility...

hmm? There was one instance where i landed but didnt enter the outpost. I exited the game and when i signed back on my sidewinder was destroyed. It cost me a few g's to get it back but Maybe when i logged back in there was someone on the pad and i was destroyed? I wonder if this is a possibility.. I never opened a ticket about it, it wasn't worth it... none the less..
Since then, i make sure to be inside the outpost.. It is a good question to answer..

Yes, if you log off the pad should free up. Don't forget that there can be more than one 'instance' of that particular system on the server as well, if there are enough players to warrant it. I believe this also happens if you are trying to log back on at an outpost that is currently busy in one 'instance', you just log on in another 'instance' instead.
