Logic gates

Add in logic gates for triggers, so that a trigger will deactivate something, instead of activating it, or making it that something will activate only if 2 triggers are set off simultaneously, etc.

oh i'd love this - would also love something by the way of a primitive sequencer for triggers. perhaps set off by a single trigger on a coaster, and then you are able to sequence and fine-tune multiple triggers using a timeline board, thinking along the lines of the show sequencers in rct3 or the logic pieces in LittleBigPlanet 3 (if even a few of the logic gates and gadgets from LBP came into Planet coaster I would be in total heaven!)

This sounds awfully complicated...

Deactivation triggers would be handy though. You can kinda get around it by having a trigger activate something before it comes into view (so it deactivates when it goes past), but it's pretty awkward.

Can't think of a use for anything other than a NOT gate trigger, though.

For the logic gates in general to be truly useful, some other forms of triggers would be beneficial - other than the coasters themselves triggers from people walking past a section of path or an entertainer coming nearby etc would allow far more possibilities.

Example:

Entertainer Pirate AND guests on path = effect

Coaster passing AND People on pah = water splash

etc.

Doesn't need to be ridiculously complex, a simple and gate would be great, not necessary, but great :)

the sequencers though. oh boy I really feel that could lead to some amazing effects without all the trigger timing issues.

Buuuuut -

Triggers are only on coasters and track rides (at the moment). But if that wasn't the case then yeah, that would be pretty sweet (have some cool splash effects behind the pirate entertainer when he's doing his show).

i would like to see like laser triggers on pathways as well so if a visitor cuts the beam you can ad a trigger for a water spray or something and they get wet and react to it, or with fire and they get burned and need medical attention and get angry because as a responsible park owner you should not place fire so close to your visitors... XD

Okay now this is turning into a 'cool trigger ideas' thread :p (except the fire bit, but path triggers are actually a thing in real life - they're motion detectors though, not lasers)

I wonder if we might open this topic again. I bumped into Bo earlier in the year and tried to explain this, but failed miserably.

Now that we have the Display Sequencer we are much closer to having this type of functionality.

All we need, of course, is a NAND gate; and a way to do this would be for the sequencer (or a similar device) to handle 2 inputs and produce an output based on them. Or two inputs and a clock signal perhaps. We could do so much more with something like this.

sounds like a great idea

Yay logic gates, great idea and not complicated at all if you have basic logic :D or played some gmod with wiremod in the past
