Hi,
I have just gotten a A5 FSD for my Python again. Sold my python and bought it again, but that's a story for another time. The first time I bought a A5 FSD for my python was in Tellus system, at a high-tech station.
I'm gonna cut to the point. Been searching for a new A5 FSD for sometime around the Tellus area(Alioth, 78 Ursae Majoris, Mizar) and didn't find anything in all of these wealthy high-tech places. Was about to give up and start my journey to Leesti to check George Lucas for a A5 FSD. But instead I decided to run some missions and bounty hunting.
So where did I find my A5 FSD? In the CX COM system at Carrasco orbital, a small population refinery and extraction station.

Shouldn't there be more logic to where these rare parts spawn? I checked 18 high-tech(at least 8 of them where wealthy and had large populations) stations before I stumbled upon this A5 FSD.

Just saw this thread and can share your frustration mate. I've been prowling around all the high tech/high pop/high wealth systems searching for an A5 power distributor for my Asp. I've just made it into an exploration/bounty hunting trip, and have made quite a few credits, but now I'll have to check all the smaller systems too....? Gah!

Although it could make use of an A5 PD the Asp will only fit an A4 PD.

I'm not certain but I think your rep with the station might be the problem as an A5 FSD is available currently for me to buy at Ahern Enterprise probably because I'm green with the station, I even bought an Asp to check it's availability so that's 6 mil you owe me!
