Login Screen

The loading screen doesn't show any relevant information. As the game takes a while to load, I suggest showing at least the following:

* A percent complete loading indicator. Having some indication of how long is left would be welcome.
* Facts about the ship being shown.
* Facts about where the gamer is being placed.

Doing the above will remind the gamer where he/she is and what he/she is flying. In addition, he/she will know if the game is in fact loading (instead of crashed) and approximately how much time is left.

Small point, but I'd like to see the ships tumbling on this screen, as a better tribute to the original Elite, rather than only spinning in the yaw axis.

btw those wire-frame models would be great for an in-game training sim...

The two loading screen backgrounds, Elite logo increasing in size and start menu with rotating station, are actually two small videos located in the Frontier folder on your PC. Might be interesting to play with them.
