Hardware & Technical Logitech drivers for old X52 saitek stick ?

Now that Saitek belongs to Logitech, one may find drivers for the X52 series joystick from them.

I know for a fact that Logitech is WAY more reliable that Mad Cats ever was, either from a software point of view, or a hardware one.

So uninstalling the old Mad catz drivers and installing the new Logitech ones sounds like a non brainer isn't it ?

But is it ?

Anyone there capable of telling me if it is worth it ?

Or is it way to much of a risk ?

Beacause I for one would love to get rid of those crapy Mad catz drivers.

And if I proceed with this, how should I do it ?

Thank you for your time.

Go ahead and use the Logitech drivers - they are generally very stable.

However, keep a copy of the old driver around - some motherboards have issues with the newer driver and USB2 ports, where the old one works just fine.

I had a HDD crash a couple of months ago and had to reinstall everything from scratch. The new Logitech drivers worked okay but the profile editor did not and I had programmed a few of my bindings. So before installing the new drivers. Make sure you still have the old installation files.

I guess I should first uninstall the old drivers, any specific way of doing it, or just uninstall via Windows control panel ?
