As the title reads. I just got a logitech/saitek X52 and when I go to the controls menu, the game automatically reads and profiles the X52 but I have no input on my flight stick at all. The thrust works fine. SO far I have tried running the game in big picture mode, running as admin, switching controls to generic joystick, running the saitek soft ware and then running the game. No input from the flight stick whatsoever.

First thing is to check the device works in joy.cpl. The quality of the x52s can be a bit sus.
Now you know the stick is fine you start figuring out why it's not working in ED. The game doesn't actually do anything for a device unless it has controls bound for it. You can try the default x52 binds. If the throttle works but not the stick, that's a weird situation but I'd start by checking the controls are actually bound to the stick.
When I launch ED, the control menu reads Saitek X52, there are binds already preset to this option. I figured that maybe if I rebound the joy axis, perhaps the default profile is messed up. The keyboard option does not detect anything for the joystick. This is the same for all other control presets.

If you change the mapping, it will change its name to "Custom" in the dropdown menu. The x52 Profile won't be overwritten.
