Logitech / Saitek X52 PRO HOTAS

After being as rare as rocking horse poo, Currys have got some in.

I've just got my new one. :)

Get one while they've got them.

think ill stick with my far cheaper x box controller if its all the same to you...…………..
as I am actually more precise with that over a hotas due to mus mem I suppose
besides at over 20 years old its like a family member same as my grand papi breville toasted cheese sandwich maker...…...
another piece of essential kit my delonghi coffee machine is now where my hotas used to be
now if it happened to be a woman I might be very inclined to get a new model

How are you finding yours? I picked up one (brand new Logitech build) at the beginning of UK lockdown and have multiple issues with it (couldn't be bothered to send it back at first, what with all of the lockdown disruption, and now can't as I've tried to mod the issues out - partially successfully).

My issues are: Excessive free play between the stick stalk and the inverted mushroom collar at it's base which is supposed to keep the stick central (partially mittigated by the four cable tie trick above the main centring spring)

I also had excessive deadzone at stick centre (mostly modded out by adding magnets inside - might add some more).

Intermittent bad cable inside stick that causes stick lights to flicker when using twist rudder (have not attempted to fix yet but should not be difficult when I have time to put my mind to it)

As such with all of these issues on a supposedly mid-range stick, I'm far from impressed, and would find it difficult to recommend given the apparent current quality.

Just received it so I'll let you know in a while. I have used a Saitek model but the mouse button issues were driving me crazy. I have been looking for a replacement for some time (also in the UK lockdown :() When I heard that Currys were getting some X56s in I kept looking there. Finally decided to stick with the X52 PRO.
