LOL A Cautionary tale or better known as how to lose an A rated Beluga in less than 5 seconds.

This is not a rant, just a cautionary tale as I have enough money for multiple rebuys of all my ships,

Took my first Passenger mission, logged off to feed the kids, then joined the game again and launched, didnt notice that the mission had changed so the passenger was now wanted, scanned as soon as i left the station and destroyed by the station in less than 5 seconds lol... Moral of the story double check missions before launching in 2.2 the Stations have made ED mean Elite:Destruction lol. One A rated Beluga up in smoke lol.

It was in the patch notes. Yes, passengers can be wanted, and if scanned YOU become wanted. They have a lot of quirks. It's very much a good idea to read them CAREFULLY before you accept them aboard.

Yes, given beluga has no shields to speak of, this is somewhat of a conundrum; ergo don't be scanned by anyone for any reason, ever - it won't end well. Or use a different ship.

The point is that they werent wanted when I accepted the mission lol.

Ha I just had this. Decided to dock to refuel for some daft reason. Luckily it was but an Asp, and I respawned at the final destination for a quick payout.

LOl I have been playing since beta started and this is my fastest death in game yet was so damn brutal, from clicking launch to the rebuy screen 15 to 20 seconds max including screen load times etc. was funny as hell :)

How do you transfer some of your passengers to a different ship?

If the Begula has no shields then i'll never be able to use it, with a high combat rating, you get pulled out of cruise by elite ranked combat vessels all the time and they are on you so fast you often have to rely on good shielding to get away. Also, who thought it was a good idea for a passenger to suddenly become wanted? what an absolute pain the astronomical units. That's a massive turn off, what do you do? Jettison them??

I like that you can pick up wanted passengers.. but you only find out LATER. Very Star Wars Han Solo Lando Calrissian style if you ask me. If only you could smuggle yourself, hidden in the fighter cockpit while your NPC answers all the customs questions on autodock!!

I just imagined that irl, someone pees on the seats of a passenger bus = wanted level 5 and the army comes with tanks blowing the bus up entirely, no damns given about the innocents on board xD
